For the implementation of WR CT03138, the horizontal targets in the A, C, and D cores must be updated to the Maumee Pattern parasolid. The coreprints in the adjoining B & H cores must be updated as well. When performing the target adjustments during the sampling of the casting the decisions are based on casting layout data, therefore the adjustments must be made as a net change to the tool. MPC performed CMM layouts which indicated that the tooling did not match the model. This may have been due to an earlier target adjustment made in the Defiance Plant pattern shop. MPC updated data to match the condition of the tooling at that time. It is from this baseline that the target adjustment of CT03138 was made. MPC has provided final target data to which we are to match our process models. These parasolids are attached and include the adjustments needed as per WR CT03138.
