During the I6 Block 2008 Gamma 'D' mold tool build at Carlson Tool & Mfg. Corp., the project manager Roy Anderson, found that the 'D' lower mold plate toe clamp pads were modeled too "thin". A gap of 1.025mm (.040") exists between the toe clamps and the lower mold plate. Correct the feature(s) that control the clamp pads thickness on the lower mold plate to increase the thickness. I've instructed Carlson Tool to cut the toe clamps by the 1.025mm (bastardizing these particular toe clamps) so that no additional money is spent welding up the mold plate. A notation tag will be fastened to the 'D' lower mold tooling assembly informing anyone of this particular modification.
