At SMCO we continue to experience downtime in production because of water lines leaking, fittings leaking, or hoses comminng off all together in the Lost Foam Mold Toooling. Due to the quantity of lines and fittings (60 per tool on the lower half alone) the chances of this failure are very high. Design and build a cover plate that eliminates all hoses and external water fittings. The spray nozzles will be plumbed using internal passages that are built as an integral part of the cover plate. This will be done using the laminated technology available from Fast 4M. Refer the the attachment for details. The new cover plate should be designed for the common lower A,B,C, and E.
