The v-notchs on the ABG & CDH core box inserts are very high wear areas. Welding them & recutting the is time consuming required often. To eliminate the need to weld & for quick turn around, revise the v-notch areas to be replaceable inserts. Designs have been developed for each of the 917 cores and the tooling at Defiance is being modified to these designs. The designs have been attached & are to used as reference for updating the 917 & 437 designs.
