Revise cope valley vent pin design to a neck down by revising the top 2” of pin. This is to eliminate sand from dropping down into sand pattern vent holes created by the vent pins. See attachment for neck dimensions. In addition, update the DCS log ‘Description’ field for all (3) cope vent pins with standardized information (i.e. “machine", “machine configuration", “Upper/lower", "primary owning assembly", additional notes like diameter/length). Lastly, the DCS log ‘Material Specification’ field is incorrect on all (3) vent pins. These pins are made from 4140 steel, not 2144 CRS. In addition, the old file name & pin codes are not correct & are specific to Defiance. Remove the old file name & pin code from the material field, then add correct code to the description field with Defiance specified.
