On the side cores, the ejector rod at times pushes through the core and doesn't get caught in the coreroom. When this happens it results in a hole in the core which fills with aluminum. The ejector rods are at the thinnest part of the core and the core letter designation is also in the same area which makes the area even thinner. When the ejector rod does go through the core it breaks along the letter indent. Machine the S/T letter designation off of the upper corebox. Solder a 1/2" S/T in the area shown on the attached. This was tried on PPCR# PS07-92 and was successful in eliminating the problem
