The vent tracks around the key areas on the vertical core box inserts become plugged with sand fines and have to be drilled out. Current design has solid vents installed to cap vent tracks off. In order to remove vent, a hole must be drilled in it in order to remove with a tool. Replace each of these solid vents with a set screw. Requires re-drilling & threading the existing counter bores in each core box insert & installing 5/8” x ¼”L set screws. This will make cleaning out the vent tracks faster, easier, & eliminate the waste of solid vents.
