On the base core, when the box has run for a while they start getting soft spots in one corner of the core. This area is kitty corner to where the exhaust manifold is hooked up, thus it is the furthest point away from the exhaust. Currently the exhaust is hooked up in the front left corner of the corebox. Move the exhaust port to the front center window of the corebox. This has been tried on three different coreboxes and the operator has not experienced the soft spot.
