On the E/F jacket box, the screens for the jacket legs have no liners for the ejector rods so the Pattern shop has to replace the whole screen when the ejector rods wear out the ejector rod hole. This is cost of $180 per screen. Revise the design of the jacket leg screen, as shown on the attached, to allow a ejector rod liner to be used. By having a liner, a small area of venting will be lost but due to the depth of the slots in the screen the loss may be negligible. This was tried on a few coreboxes and has shown not to effect the blowing up of the core. It has helped reduce the repair time and cost.
