In the month of October 2013, Toluca was exercising mold #1 on cast line #1, and molten aluminum leaked between the base mold and the exhaust side slide, enveloping the "WI" (water-in) & the "WO" (water-out) utility lines causing a safety concern. All of the exhaust side slide channels have been machined in the exhaust side slide frames as of 06NO13 at Anderson Global. Change the channel design in the frame to a "higher" location as seen in the attachment and re-route the two lines and related fittings. Also, design a "patch plate" and fasten into the current 18 mold side slides, covering the access for the molten aluminum. The new channel design will affect all 18 molds. The new "patch plate" design IS NOT intended for Team Center, just the current 18 molds.
