In the drag mold, the tuck features are soft and not properly supporting position of side cores. To help improve side core support and potentially increase mold hardness of tucks, increase the width of the front & rear tucks. Secondly, the welch pins in the side cores do not always break free of casting through shake out. Most have to manually be removed. To eliminate manual removal and have pins break free of casting in shake out, add break-off pins that connect to tie-bar feature in which welch pins are connected to. Pins are to extend down below pan rail, but above gates as to contact shaker and not damage pan rail.
