Production requested a method of identifying which core machine the water jackets were made on when inspecting a Duramax block in FN5 finishing. Add changeable core machine identification tags to the J & K-core lower insert assembly. Tags are to be P-20 steel and mounted into core box insert using #8-32 x 3/4" slotted machine screws. Fully thread the counter sunk clearance thru holes in tags so they can be used for extracting tags from core box. Require tags A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, & B3. 'A' designates CB116 & 'B' designates CB122 machines at Defiance.
