The top #1 scrap issue in the Toluca Aluminum Foundry is the misrun. This scrap feature appears in some areas all around the head, but one of the locations with the major concentration of the defect, is at the Fire Deck face, Front/exhaust side of the casting. Add crosshatching at the surrounding area of the misrun. The mold to be modified will be the first available once the PPCR will be approved.
