Core room is experiencing chronic porosity on the E & F cores once a core box has run for a partial shift. There are current 3/4" solid vents in the defect areas that was a previous attempt to remedy the issue. In order to extend the # of cycles they can achieve on the core box before the porosity starts to occur replace the existing 3/4" solid vents with 1/4" super vents. This modification should be done by replacing the existing vent retainer sleeves with vent adapters to avoid requiring stock addition to the core box inserts.
