Production at Defiance is experiencing low water flow faults. The cause has found to be failure of the mold side Staubli plug plates. The aluminum Staubli Plug plate is bending outward in the center where the control lever of supply plate engages bushing. 1) Create a new CAD part model of the plug plate this a vendor built part from 309 stainless steel. Design should be de-contented to eliminate all unnecessary ID & relief pockets currently found in Staubli brand plate. 2) Create new CAD part file for a Receiver Assembly that includes new plug plate, Epic plugs (APU17711), spring steel retaining snap rings (not from Staubli), Staubli cam lock bushing, & alignment pin w/fasteners. 3) Substitute this new plate assembly into mold designs in place of Receiver Assembly APU17697.
