Defiance is experiencing poor core quality on exhaust & intake port core noses where there is blow-no-gas. Defiance tested cutting small 18/"-1/4" slits in the BNG seals of gas plate to allow a small amount of gas into the venting currently blocked by seal and improve the core quality. Testing proved successful. To make change permanent, add vent tracks to the (2) blow-no-gas islands by welding seal groove (2) places on each island, re-machine ends of seal grooves, & machine in a 1mm deep vent relief.
