Defiance is experiencing miss-run defects in the wall between exhaust port(s) and upper water jacket. Indications from analysis is that more heat needs to be feed into that area of casting. Defiance has tested adding 5mm on each side of existing exhaust face in-gate and have successful results in reducing miss-run defect rate. Implement this 5mm stock addition permanent into tooling designs. This affects EISX lower core box insert, unloader, and the base mold exhaust side coating spray mask. (NOTE: This CTWR replaces CT08341 that was inadvertently cancelled).
