Current designs for the SL3 blow tip backside machining used on the W & O-cores has a sharp edge where the conical shape transitions to the slot shape of the tip. The SL3 tip design has a blended transition. This creates an interference condition when tip compresses down onto backside of upper inserts. The sharp edge on box has potential to cause damage/premature wear on tips. Add a corresponding edge blend to backside machining for all of the SL3 tip locations of the upper OUW and UW inserts.
